Scrap Rooms

So, are you one of the lucky ones who has a scrap room all to themselves or do you have to make do with a cupboard under the stairs or use the kitchen table? I myself am one of the lucky ones but it is so disorganised, i really need to sort it out. It doesn't matter how many times i rearrange things it still looks messy! I would love to have a room like one of the ones featured. Everything has a place, the decor is gorgeous and well frankly I am so totally jealous. So, sit back, relax, and have a browse around some of these fabulous scrap rooms :) First one up is by the fabulous Shaunte. I just love how she has a large desk in the centre of the room and look as those boards on the wall to hang things from! That big wall unit with all the square inserts is just to die for and is ideal for storing paper isn't it. And how fabulous to have a sink in your room for cleaning up paint and goo!
Then there is Melissa's gorgeous room. I absolutely adore the combination of the lime green and pink, something i am definately considering. Mine is very pale and uninviting at the moment. Everything is so uncluttered and the unit on the wall above the desk is ideal for keeping books and magazines. Yet again is another fabulous storage unit with lots of co-ordinating storage, something i definately don't have enough of! This room is by the lovely Tammy. The wire rack system she has used looks invaluable and again is perfect for storing most things including 12x12 paper. I especially love how she has put all her embossing powders on little steps so you can see all the colours without having to get them all out. Also, what a fabulous idea for storing foam stamps, in glass jars! I may be pinching that idea! Take a look at this lovely room of Patty's. To me it is very homely and cosy. Again Patty has got a little island that she can stand and scrap at which i find very appealing. It also has a little 'skirt' around it and has stuff stored underneath it! I love how her desk has lots of stuff around it making everything really accessible, especially having the pegboard above the desk with all the tools on. What a great idea. Last and certainly not least is Connie's room. Now, if you want to be really, really envious then take a look at her Scrap Shed! yes, she has her own little home to do her creating in. Now, my garden i actually big enough for this, i just need to persuade hubby lol! The shed is a stunning 12x28ft! is that enough space for you? I don't think i have seen such a fabulous expense of space to work in. Again, the cube system has been used and shelving is in abundance. Thanks for taking a look around these fabulous rooms, i hope they've inspired you a little, i know they have done with me. If you have a room or space to be proud of then please leave us a link to it and we may feature it next time :) Cath xx Also don't forget to leave us a comment this weekend and you could win a MASSIVE £25 voucher to spend at Papermaze, kindly donated by the wonder Ness!

Oh my god, how jealous am i??

I have my own little space in our hallway under the stairs - but dont have enough room for storage - plus have to hide my things away from grubby little hands!!

I think I need to persuade my husband i need a shed!

Oh I want a shed but love the pink and lime green colour scheme. Another great post with great ideas. Thank you.

Wow, what wonderful scrap rooms. Looks around my messy room in embrassment. I had better clear up a bit....

I'm with you there on the jealous feelings Alexandra!! I love the shed! I also adore the green and pink co-ordination in the one room.

The area in which I store my scrapbook stuff is a bookshelf in our dining room area (but I do get the whole bookshelf to myself!) and I get to use the edge of the computer desk to work on - not even 12x12 - think I might have to downsize my pages to fit LOL

As my craft room doubles up as my eldest son's bedroom and he is currently home from Uni and hogging in the room, any space would be great! Seriously though, these are all really lovely, especially the pink and green one, maybe one day when he moves out for good!!!!!!!

Oh wow i love the shed, and the shelving used in all the room really is fantastic..

I just got my own scrapping furniture for my birthday, so no more dining table for me:D lol, maybe for christmas i'll wish for a shed.

oh my word! LOVE the pink and lime one, i just love the combo... and a whole scrap house! so completely jealous on everyone's rooms here! you all must have worked long and hard to get them looking so incredibly good... nice one!

Really enjoying your blog, so many different articles. Im lucky enough to have my own craft room. Its an uncoordinated jumble of mess but its my space!

Anonymous said...

Some lovely, lovely FULL scraprooms there - makes my corner of the dining table with my Robox nearby look a bit cramped LOL!

Gina said...

Wow I love that shed. I want one!!! The others are gorgeous too. I could do with some of those storage ideas.

Wow.Wow. Wow the pink and lime green is just fabulous, my daughter and I have to be content with sharing the dining room, but hey, we manage. We have our own little palace of creativity. Who am i kidding? A craft shed would be heaven! All that storage and "tidyness!!"

These are all amazing, so clean looking too - makes me realise how much rubbish I'm hanging on to. It's also about clearing up after you isn't it, putting things back away. Not my strong suit. Thanks for sharing these rooms.

Oh wow, what gorgeous rooms these all are, I would love to be so organised. I am lucky enough to have a scrap room but it is more like a bomb site!! lol

I'm lucky enough to have my own room!! It used to be my son's when he was small, but now he has the 'spare' room!
It is only the box room, so unfortunately I don't have the space for a proper table (currently using a fold up picnic table!), but I'm trying to be organized, but since I keep adding to it, it never stays tidy for long :) I tend to just bring everything I need downstairs, where it stays til I can be bothered to take it back upstairs :)

I'd love a shed, but since I don't like being in the garden late at night when DH is at work, and that is when I do most of my scrapping, it wouldn't get much use-but never say never :)

Fab site, have added it to my faves-lots of wonderful inspiration, well done.

Anonymous said...

I'd love the shed too, but our garden is far too small and dh already put an option for model train on any "shed for hobby" dream. Well I think I'll have to wait until our extension is built. I love the idea of the little steps for embossing powder, which would be good for stamps too.
Thanks for showing us these georgous rooms. Definetly inspiring for both the decoration and the organisation point of view.

lol, I feel very bitter and hard done by now. Between them, my two boys have three rooms, my husband has a study. What do I have? The use of the small worksurface over the washer and dryer in the utility room. I feel the wind of change about to blow icily over this house!

Angela said...

oh wow!

How fabulous are they!?! I have an inability to keep my craft room tidy... put it down to being creative lol!!! :) The site is brilliant girls, enjoy visiting it everyday.

I was really loving Melissa's pink and green room, and then I saw the shed! A little scrapping home of her own! You could just stay there all the time and never go in the house!! I bet she pretends to have her own tv show!!

Sooooooo, jealous, i dream of having a gorgeous creative space, maybe one day when DS flies the nest, then again he's only 11 and i didn't leave home until i was 26!

Wow! Some fabulous rooms there. I am lucky enough in my new house to have the loft room all to myself for scrapping. It's duck egg blue, parchment and chocolate colour scheme and is still in the making as it were, but coming along nicely. Would show you a pic but it is such a mess at the moment it would be very embarrasing!

Thanks for the inspiration.

I have a dining table and lots of boxes - everywhere. Does that count?

Thanks for another great article.

My Craft Bazaar

Mine is more humble, more crowded, but I am pretty pleased with it. It needs a lot of work yet, especially on the paper side, currently all jumbled together in Cropper Hopper boxes. Happily I have time coming up to do it. Woohoo!

Leigh11 - I am in the box room too and one of those tabletops from IKEA fits across the end of the room with a little space left over. You can get the legs to be at whatever height works best for you or even tipped for an artist's board kind of vibe.

Thank you so much for the peeks into your inspiring spaces, everyone. Gorgeous!

Lori said...

Oh WOW! Makes my little corner of the room look positively stashorexic! Surely they must spend half their time finding things they'd completely forgotten they had and never get anything done?! *Sigh* there speaks my jealousy!

Lislescrapper said...

I don't have my own Scraproom but it's lovely to see other peoples' rooms and just have a dream.

I loved them all but Connies in particular, apart from the gorgeous surroundings and decor, It would be fabulous to work in there for a Cyber Crop, all that Scrapping space!
You could move along and work in an uncluttered space with each new Class project or Challenge.

Brigitta said...

ooooh these scraprooms are amazing!!! I have to make do with my diningroomtable I'm afraid, although I'm seriosly thinking about doing my spare room up, it would be so nice not to have to put everything away when you get visitors or have to have dinner ;-)

Susan said...

Those rooms are fab! I adore the pink and green one, only problem is I am such a messy scrapper if I had a gorge room like that I wouldn't be able to actually do anything in there for fear of messing it up!

Anonymous said...

Wow - what fantastic rooms.

I am now counting down to when my son's leave home so that I can convert their bedroom - seeing as they are only 13 & 14 I've got a few years to go! LOL

I have a room just for scrapbooking in, but i must say, it doesnt look like that at all!!!

I can dream eh?

Yizz said...

I have the spare box bedroom for scrapping and the old dining room table as a work station. Most of my 'bellies are in over-the-door hangers from Lakeland but I am desperate for something other than old book cases for bigger storage. I actually have the wire cube units but they are put together to make small sections for my albums - never thought of using them like in Tammy's room. Brilliant, that idea is going to save me a fortune at Ikea when I get round to re-organising.

Wow, that scrap shed is awesome, I think I'd install a bed as well lol!

I've just realised I won the Scrapagogo kit for leaving a comment the other week so I must say thank you. I am so excited, you've made my day! Thank you girls, I love you all! :)

Wow! These rooms are so inspiring!

We recently moved into a house that needs some, um.. 'TLC' but as I've taken up scrapping (in the dining room) since the move, not a lot has got done!

This really gives me the incentive to combine the two projects and nab the spare room (currently filled with many paint cans and tools)before the boys get it for something like tv and games!

I'm going to take the ideas I like from each of the rooms highlighted and get designing..perhaps I'll scrap the progress :)

Yasmin said...

Wow I want a room of my own too!
Currently I'm working off both the dining table & the conservatory.
I so love that shed. I've been badgering my hubby for weeks to get a summer house in the garden so I can scap in there.

Wow! Not only organised and neat- my table I use is a mess as is where I store my craft stuff upstairs- but to have all that stash to look at and stroke lol

Wow these rooms are fantastic....and to have your own scrapshed, that's sheer bliss. I scrap in the box room (and have too much stash to fit in)

Great site, I'm going to have a go at knitting a bag!

one day i hope to move to a bigger place so my 3 kids can each have a room of there own, my partner can have a computer room which can be locked so kids cant get in to it and then a craft room also lockable. well there you go thats my wish lol.

So many good ideas, and so much more enviable than my small chest of drawers, bit of the wardrobe and the bedroom floor! I can only dream, but I trust that they do get to look more lived in when you are scrapping and not quite so pristine when you're in full flow!

Thanks for sharing, lots of food for thought.

Hello I always love looking at other peoples craft rooms. You are all so very lucky to have your own space, I would just like to say dont worry if you dont have a room I dont have a room as such but the corner of my bedroom and we have little spare money but I have managed to use lots of recycled things for my scrap space. you can check out a site called freecycle.com which encourages poeple to recycle things they no longer need instead of them going to landfill sites you to could have a fabby scrap space for free

What gorgeous rooms!
I've just been lucky enough to get my own little corner of our house for all my crafty stuff. It's great having one dedicated spot and has already had an impact on how much I do. Especially as the computer isn't there.
I'm not even attempting to keep it tidy though, as my boyfriend says "you do crafts dear, which are inherently messy things to do." So long as I can keep the mess from spreading to the rest of the house I'll be happy.
